A good friend asked me to design a pink cupcake themed invitation for her daughter’s first birthday. I must admit, I didn’t know cupcakes could be so much fun! I mean, yes, they are pretty to look at and even better to eat, but did you know there were so many cupcake favors, toys, jewelry and clothing? Neither did I! Here are some great places to get cupcake related items for your party — all handmade and available on Etsy!
Cupcake Party Invitation, available in my Etsy shop:
$2.80 each with the option of customizing colors
Mini cupcake magnets from JooJoo - $18 for a set of three.
Cupcake Pinata from BirchAngel - $22
Cupcake Toddler Tee from DogBoneArt - $12
Cupcake Necklace from PeachBlock - $12
Buttercreme Cupcake Lip Butter from HeavenlyNaturals - $3.50
Cupcake Cutie handpainted notecard from HappyDay Studio - $4.50
Felt Cupcake Embellishments by CutieGoodie- $3.90 for a set of 4

For those of you who are not familiar with the Sugar Network, let me enlighten you! Web sites such as PopSugar (my fav), LilSugar, PetSugar and IDoSugar are just some of the many lifestyle and entertainment sites that make up the Sugar Network. IDoSugar is dedicated to…you guessed it…weddings — click here to see the feature on my Vegas Bachelorette Party Invites. Thanks to Christina for her help and insight on this fun design!

Congratulations to Melinda and Daniel, who were married June seventh
in St. Albans, Missouri! Here’s a quick peek of the wedding:
And some pics of the stationery I designed to match the couple’s inspiration of pink lace and vintage accents:
Check back tomorrow to see the winner of the Wedding Guest Organizer!
The winner of the Guest Organizer is Lissette Florez from Astoria, NY! Congratulations!
Here is a sneak peek at the next giveaway, which will be posted for entries sometime next week. I can promise you that it makes a great gift, but you will probably end up keeping it for yourself!
Original Post:
Forgive me, it has been loooong while since my last post!
Most of my attention and free time has been going to the tiny details of my spring and summer weddings *breathe* and I am now diving into fall! My brides know that I am working hard, even though there maybe a day or two lapse in between emails! For that I apologize. As for 2009 weddings, I am only designing for a few, as I plan on moving into a new studio by the end of the year. Until then, it would be too hard for me to take on many more jobs until I am settled!
So, here some updates for the year:
• I will not be a vendor at Strange Folk, but I hope to see you all there anyway!
• There will be a line of notecards added to my Etsy shop, but that has been postponed for a little while longer.
• The new gallery for my website is still being updated, but you can visit www.beyonddesign.etsy.com for more photos
• Once settled after the move, I will be back to designing with fervor!
This leads me to some exciting news: my first Giveaway!
Since I have been scrambling to stay organized this year, I thought the Wedding Guest Organizer seemed appropriate!
